Katherine Westerhout: Rust Belt

I came across this video on artbabble.org this morning. As I see Indianapolis, and particularly Fountain Square/Fletcher Place/South East Neighborhood, grow and starting to flourish I can't help but feel optimistic for the future. In this video photogrpaher Katherine Westerhout talks about the psychological idea that "interiors of bulidings are the representation of our own psyche" and as I see more and more building (but more importantly building with a sense of our history and growth but not at the expense of becoming disassociated with the cities' past) in the surrounding neighborhoods it is a good indication of Indy creating a foundation to become something more.
