Be Unique, Be Simple, Be Effective

Predicting human behavior can be a frustrating and often futile endeavor. It becomes impossible if you only focus on the big issues and not the small ones (think of ignoring the user experience online in favor of a big expensive flash intro, which is luckily going the way of the dodo).
Below is a video from Rory Sutherland speaking at a TED engagement in London (Technology Entertainment Design). The basic premise of the 12 minute talk is "What changes our behavior and attitudes to things/ideas is not proportional to the expense exhibited or the force applied." I found it extremely interesting and thought I would share.
